Seller Guide
So, you have some books you’d like to sell! Your Book Store is the right place!
Step 1 : Sign up
The first step is to create an account so that you can open Your Book Store and list items, all for free. We just need some simple details like your name, email address and the genres you like. Feel free to add in other details such as a Bio and your socials. We love following our members on Good Reads, Bookstagram and BookTok!
Step 2: Take pics of the books you’d like to sell
For any listing, you’ll need some pics of the book you want to sell. We suggest making sure that the picture is in good lighting, and that any wear and tear is clearly shown.
Step 3: List the book
- Click “Post a new listing”.
- Select the category of your listing.
- Fill in the details of the book, including Title, Description, Condition and Author. Make sure the Condition of your book is accurate - see our guide on this if needed!
- Add the price of the book. The minimum price on Your Book Store is 30p.
- Decide whether you want to allow pick up or shipping. Tick the boxes which apply.
- Set your shipping price - see our Shipping Guide if you need help choosing shipping rates.
- Add the photo(s) of the book.
- Click Publish Listing!
- Fill in your payout preferences if required so that you can get paid when your book is bought!
Step 4: Be communicative!
Buyers may contact you to discuss your listings. We ask that you check your messages regularly and communicate with potential buyers - it will help you get your sale!
Step 5: Send your book!
Once your book is sold, please post it as soon as possible and ideally within 48 hours. Remember to keep proof of postage in case there are any issues. Confirm that you have sent the book by clicking “I’ve shipped this order” on your profile.
Step 6: Get paid!
Once the buyer marks their order as received (or 14 days after you shipped your order if the buyer does not mark as received) your funds will be released to your bank account. Your Book Store takes a 20% selling fee on every transaction so that we are able to maintain and evolve the platform.
